Thus the slow demise of organised Christianity where a judgmental and hypocritical attitude has been revealed by it. It''s often turned its back on the God of love and wisdom and fallen into the folly of dogma and superstition - by created three god''s even destroying the oneness of God. How can practical toleration, authenticity of integrity, or humility of purpose endure in this type of climate?
If accurate I believe such an apocalyptic view about the ''end of the world'' of religion means many people have thrown the baby out with the bath water. They''ve thrown away their acceptance of God''s presence, in rejecting the old religion.
Many people dwell in accordance with their non-spiritual lights. Not all capitalists use their workers roughly lack respect for the natural environment as to cause dangerous levels of pollution. A few unfortunately yet opt to allow self-orientation to govern their actions and turn it into an over-riding love of self. Then it''s clear how greed for money might develop. In this scenario their business choices will be dominated by the want for profit, irrespective of what the consequences for the health of the environment or the working states of staff,.
Not all national leaders, confronted with competition from other countries, start a war for the benefit or faced with opposition from within their own people resort to tyranny.
Not everyone, with fundamental beliefs, is a fanatic, killing others and displacing people from their dwellings in their own hundreds of tens of thousands, as is occurring in Syria. However, I''d say if aggrieved and deprived individuals follow a tendency -orientation, then they are vulnerable to the propaganda of terrorists - falling for the delusion that power and glory comes from identifying with a political cause in spite of the humanitarian price.
Swedenborg additionally has described another feature of our religious environment. One Swedenborg says has developed lately. It is an epoch making reordering of what Swedenborg terms our ''spiritual world'' that is some sort of collective unconscious.
